Dr. Birx Praises Local Officials For Coronavirus Mitigation Efforts

(Washington, DC)  — The White House coronavirus task force is hopeful the pandemic is slowing down, although we have not yet reached the peak.  Dr. Deborah Birx praised local officials Friday for their mitigation efforts, including the mayors of Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Denver and New Orleans.  She says projections for new cases in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island are being dramatically changed to show fewer cases than originally expected. Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti COVID-19 Update

(Los Angeles, CA)  — Los Angeles is reporting 200 new coronavirus cases today, bringing the total to three-thousand-787.  Mayor Eric Garcetti says there were 18 new deaths today, bringing the total to 241 across the county. However, Garcetti says things are improving as deaths are only doubling every six days.  Testing is also steadily increasing in Los Angeles County, now with 22 testing locations open. Recent COVID-19 Outbreaks Smaller Than Earlier States
